An Unexpected Delight That We Stumbled Upon Just 10 Minutes from Home.
Yesterday @AnaHilarski and I were stranded at home with no internet. So we decided to head out and take care of some errands. We chose to head to our favorite area of Panama Oeste (Panama West), The Boulevards of Costa Verde shopping center.
After we completed our errands the hunger pains set in, but we did not want any of the typical fair like McDonalds or Pizza Hut. So we decided to check out one of the new restaurants on the second floor. The name is "Gala Restaurant & Sushi". The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating but due to the heat in the middle of the day we chose to enjoy the A/C.
The Food, Service and Prices Were Amazing.
I ordered cordon bleu and Anabell ordered chicken strips. We were not expecting this kind of quality on this side of the Panama Canal. Panama Oeste is moving on up! The total bill only came to $19!! That is just $5 or so more than fast food and this was delicious. The attention was a great change of pace. Anyone who knows about Panama understands that service in this country is less than stellar. My expectation is a 1 out of 10 so when you get service like we had here you really take notice.
The next time you are driving in from Coronado to go shopping at Pricesmart or want a great meal on your way to or from the airport stop by. You will not be disappointed!

That plate looks like a healthy KFC! Delicious. Also love the salad with avocado I love that Fruit!
It was seriously delicious! I have given up french fries, rice and pasta so salad and veggies always accompany my meals now. I have lost about 10 kilos since you saw me.

New structures every time we go to the beach.
Absolutely, we were going to buy a house this year but we want to wait and see what happens in the Costa Verde area. You should see it, the school is under construction, hospital coming soon, gyms, amazing shopping centers and the best part is that it is all privately owned.
Cool. I'm still scared of this housing market, at least in the city. Prices can't go any higher imo. We're content renting.
Anyway, maybe I'll try that restaurant next time we are heading home from the beach.
Dude, I have been saying that for six years. It is really quite irregular. Maybe it will normalize when Venezuela finally collapses and normalizes. All that big money will return home.
