No, this banana bush was not hard to grow.
The two banana bushes that we have now are healthy. But they are the grandchildren of the one that we bought in 2012, that has died in 2015.
Hmmm... maybe you are seeing evolution in action so the banana plant can eventually successfully thrive?
Glad you have got the grandkids. I remember the thrill of being able to keep a mother-in-law's-tongue alive when I was a teen. It was the first plant success I had and it encouraged me to keep trying.
