A fun papaya fact for kitchen use:

Juice of unripe/raw papaya can be used to soften up raw meat. It should be used in small amounts - something like one tablespoon for 1 kilo. Any more and it would turn the meat too soft. Can be used in marinating sauce as well.
This is especially useful for those who don't like to buy processed meat.
