I once flew through a tree because I did not have enough height after takeoff. I fell to the ground but I did not have anything else beside some bruises and scratches. I do not fly in bad weather or when the winds are strong, gusty.
It happened that we were looking after some fellow student pilots, they took off in stronger winds and they have been taken away when the winds got even stronger. Thankfully they managed to land, did not get injured.
It's good to follow the forecasts, observe the surrounding clouds, land before any storm comes in.
