If there is something definitive, it is death, no matter how rich we are, skin color or religious belief.
How far or near is the end of the human race?
An article was recently published on the Nature Geoscience page where scientists claim that during the dinosaur era, CO2 emissions ranged between 0.6 and 1.1 million tons per year, while today, there are more than 10 millions of tons per year that are distributed throughout the atmosphere, and the numbers are increasing every year.
To better understand the seriousness of the situation, the team of experts that refers to today's carbon emission levels are higher since dinosaurs roamed the planet, and probably even before that.
"We conclude that, given the currently available records, the current rate of anthropogenic carbon release is unprecedented in the last 66 million years," the researchers said. "We suggest that such a 'non-analog' state represents a fundamental challenge in limiting future climate projections. In addition, future perturbations of ecosystems are likely to exceed the relatively limited extinctions observed in the PETM. "
There is a thin line between the survival of our species and extinction, and as more and more people consider the possibility of space colonies or even the colonization of other planets as the salvation ticket, it is logical to assume that the planet Earth is still our alternative more viable and with resources. CO2 emissions have reached an unprecedented level that is apparently accelerating year after year, and because of this, it is difficult to anticipate what is going to happen or the amount of time that remains at our disposal.
In short if these emissions are not controlled will not take the fuck and we will be sharing a place next to the dinosaurs, maybe sooner than we think ...
so scary !
It is terrible but true
