AI and the Roswell crash

in #paranormal6 years ago

The Roswell crash happened in the summer of 1947.
Two years after World War Two, the town was full of former German scientists obtained with operation paper clip.
It was here in this high desert plane that Robert Goddard perfected the science of rockets in the 1930s and 40s.
It was here in the parched steppe that a runway so big was built, you could land a B52 on it. In the bombers belly lie the tools to save one half of the world while annihilating the other side of it.
The fact is that the people who were alive in 1947 are slowly dying off, but their stories remain.
The editor of the Roswell Daily Record (our local newspaper) is one of those voices now gone. i have never met him, but I have had friends who have met him. They say that one thing is for sure. Not to say anything about aliens, but the government did force him to change his story.

Everyone in the town at the time was pretty much a United States Air Force employee or relative of one, so the proposition that it would be a weather balloon, or something man made that was highly secret and highly advanced was not a hard pill to swallow. The same scientists who made the Nazi flying discs sometimes thought of as the foo fighters.

The transistor was demonstrated for the first time in December of 1947, only a few months after the Roswell crash.

Was this because the crash was extraterrestrial in origin? Or did we just naturally get this smart?
Either way, this week on Xenospeak we take a look at how close we really are to making a machine far superior to a flying disc. In the next 5 years we are expected to see the transistor shrink to half its size, at which point, we will be propelling forward at blazing speeds of advancements. Soon, machines will manufacture machines better than themselves. Humans will become obsolete in the workforce by 2040. By 2050, perhaps the AI kills us off and goes off planet in spacecraft it made for itself. What does it matter if an Alien intelligence crashed here, or the seeds for a future alien intelligence were planted here?

I always release Xenospeak episodes on sundays whenever i get tired of them after making them all week.
Tune in this week for episode 6 : AI, Blackhole, and singularities.

It must be interesting living in Roswell, or maybe a bit macabre. My dad has told me the story many times of his roommate arriving home after a long drive through the middle of nowhere. He came home white as a ghost, knowing something had happened, but no memory of it. So many stories out there like this, but particularly interesting to know someone that lived it.

Woah. Love a good missing time story.
I think we all react differently when we meet with foreign intelligences that observes us.
Waiting to get a mobile microphone so I can go ask people on the street about the Roswell phenomenon. You meet a lot of different types of people here, from the disillusioned to the believer there are all kinds of different doubters. I find it hard to doubt people's personal stories if i am allowed to analyse their voice/vibes and feel like they are not full of it.
Thank you for taking the time to read and comment!
We don't get many non robots around these parts 👽
