Parenting #1 - The Beginning

in #parenting4 years ago (edited)

In my efforts to find some new subject to write about, I usually first check my own blog for ideas. I find it the most inspiring thing to look at, because I remember what I love to write about, regardless if it's cooking, photography, writing stories. But, this time I had a different idea, to write about various subjects all connected to parenting and my experience.

On our way out of the hospital (hungry baby alert)

Why?

Because I am a mother to (almost) two year old boy. Those two years put my mind in a sweet spot, because I do have some experience to write about but there is also so much left to learn. My best friend recently had a baby, so I have the chance to remember all those days I already went through with my baby and reflect on them. Sometimes, looking in to the past can be quite reassuring. Even though I thought that those times are extremely hard while I was in that moment, I see them as little victories now.

The Beginning

I wrote all about my pregnancy, so I won't repeat myself. In one word it was beautiful and easy, so was the delivery. A true fairytale story! They literally had to wake me up from a nap to push out the baby, it was the best day ever.

Things got to be a bit complicated when we came home, because NO ONE ever told me that the delivery is the easy part. Adding to that, we had no help with the baby and I was exclusively breastfeeding. Since I had no one to tell me what to expect in full honesty, I plan on writing about it just as it is. Hard and manageable, you will be put to the ultimate test of will power and come out stronger every time.

So join me on this path of self-discovery and learning, while teaching others the lessons I already know. Feel free to ask anything you want to know in the comments and let's grow together!
