I'm down south but didn't notice it. But then I was watching Liverpool get mugged by Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
I do like a good lightning storm though but you have to be sure not to be near anything likely to draw strikes which can of course prove fatal.
Then, there is the fact that Britain's extreme weather hardly compares to other countries' (eg. The US) where it can be quite spectacular at times.
