    The sooner the adults in the room starting discussing it, the sooner the nightmare can draw to a close.

    For his sake, for America's sake, for the world's sake. FFS. Let's get it on?

    If he went now, quietly, prosecutors could agree a sizeable fine and possibly even a custodial sentence. Family members could also get a slap on their wrists or two, also. Terrific. If he fights hammer and tooth right to the end - and he and half his family get done for TREASON, say - then there's the hangman's noose option. And the seizure of lots of assets. And the odd long prison sentence, also. So it IS in his interests to strike the deal of his life....

    I'm no expert on law and the way things get done - anywhere, let alone in the US. So, my comments here are half meant in jest. And I'm sure it's not as easy as I'm suggesting (even if Trump accepted defeat).

    But hypothetically speaking, it does appear he's only making things worse for himself the longer he puts off the inevitable. And the alternative - him becoming a dictator with absolute authority? - doesn't bear thinking of. THAT MUST NEVER BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN.

    The video linked in my post above does suggest there's at least one other person who thinks the time is right for him to stand down and try agreeing a plea deal.
