Kundaaru Dam - Coutralam
This dam is a perfect place for having a day out, located in the outskirts of Coutralam. Water is present in all the seasons. Unfortunately there is no boating available here, but the view mesmerises the visitors.
Private Falls
There are a handful of private falls near this dam, accessible through a bumpy jeep ride. This is the primary attraction here. Usually there are more than eight falls available based on the season, and the price would be around 500 INR per head. But we can negotiate for more if we like to visit more locations. The Jeep ride is a breathtaking experience, which goes through steep slopes, slippery roads and sharp turns.
Enjoying the dam
Nefarious children can swim in the dam, while elders can take bath in the water outlet which has a strong current. Most of the time we can see local children running errands near the gate of the Dam. They dive from heights and woo other visitors. There is also a peaceful location for taking a bath in the water outlet of the dam. The current is very strong and can become very dangerous even with a small drizzle.
