Hello everyone! This is our third update on the @steemitmamas curation project. The @steemitmamas has received a generous delegation of 7500 SP from @steem-hodler and @news-today! We are the first recipients of their Delegation Initiative. Check out our update #2 post here to see our progress. @steem-hodler has continued to delegate to help other communities and worthy causes to grow. Congrats to @steemterminal, @heyhaveyamet and the latest is @hashkings.
@steem-hodler is a new tribe and token on the Steem blockchain! You will definitely want to go check them out and you can find out more information in their latest delegation announcement and buy the HODL token and the HODLM (HODL miner token) on Steem Engine.
Once again we are grateful that this delegation has helped to breathe some life into the community and hopefully our update will give you better insight into our community. We hope to continue to support and encourage more mothers to get in board, contribute and grow in this ecosystem. To minnowhood and beyond!
@steemitmamas Steem Power Growth
We are also really pleased to report that over the last 12 days we have grown the community account by a total of 406.111 SP! I went to the market and converted all the SBD that we had earned previously and powered up 190 Steem at the beginning of our delegation. At the time of writing today we have earned a total of 216.111 SP. I am so excited that our account currently stands at 850 SP and hopefully by the end of this month we would be able to cross our 1000 SP mark which is a good goal to hit!
@steemitmamas tag and banner
We continue to encourage our community members and also other people to use our tag so that we can find them and upvote them. I am pleased say that I am sure our tag usage has gone up. Unfortunately, I could only do a manual count based on the notifications from GINA. I have asked some people for help to pull some stats but it will take some time and I really wanted to keep everyone updated on how we are doing in this project. The whole month of August showed that our tag was used 120 times whilst counting from the 1st of September to this time of writing 18th of September, our tag usage count is already at 138 and it just slightly over half a month. I am sure that it will continue to grow more by the end of September as we continue to curate and support their posts.
One of the other things that we have done is also to vote on some posts which we though was good and also relevant to our community even though they did not use the tag and made sure that we commented on their post to hopefully bring about more awareness of the community. On top of that we have also taken the time to DM members of our community who are now actively posting to encourage them to use the @steemitmamas tag too!
Voting Power
Over the last one week we have managed our Voting Power better and average between 77% to 82% on a daily basis. This includes our delegators who are on autovotes via steemauto who are given 100% vote once a day. The rest are mainly via our manual curation.
Since the start of our project we decided to use @partiko to vote and comment on posts as we find that it's user interface is just superb for us because of the way we manage our time. Voting and commenting on the go is so much easier than having to get on a computer. I work full time with 2 kiddos to look after whilst @crosheille looks after the home, 5 kiddos whom she homeschools and manages the @needleworkmonday community. The added advantage of Partiko also allow us to earn points for the community account to use on votes.
One more thing that we have done is to start voting on all the @steembasicincome posts at 100%. We believe in the project and if you are enrolled in @steembasicincome you should consider doing this too. So instead of self voting we upvote all @steembasicincome posts to help the SP of the community account growth! If you want to know more, you can read their recent post here
Curation posts
It has been 8 days since our last update and one of the things that we are planning to do systematically is to bring back our curation posts during the week. We aim to schedule one midweek on Wednesdays and one on the weekend which used to be our "Sunday Shares"
We are also working on regrouping at the community level because some of our moderators have stepped down due to life changing events like having a new baby! We are looking for more people who will join us and also contribute to the community!
With that I wrap up this round of update and will be continuing to "vote like crazy" for as long as we have the delegation!
