Life is hard! Life should be easy! We hear it. We say it. But what is the truth? Is it hard and should it be easy?
Throughout my upbringing my parents and close relatives always tried to guide me to the path of least resistance. Guard me from pain, hurt and the rough patches of life. And for a few years I agreed and tried to avoid the falling rocks of the mountain called life. It was a pleasant, comfortable road. But there was a void. I wanted more. I wanted to be more. But it was uncharted territory. If I went down that path I did not know what to expect. Would I get hurt? If so, how would I survive? What about the road I already had behind me. Would it be lost? What if I would never recover?
I was in doubt for a long time, but eventually there was no other option. It was time to get out of the regular pool and jump into the vast ocean. Not knowing to expect. I only knew that where I was, was not the place where I wanted to be.
So I ventured upon a new journey with new goals. And I failed. Miserably, time after time. But I learned a lot. About myself and people in this new environment .
Pt. II coming soon
