Ever felt like your posts are just not getting much notice and wonder how so many are getting 100-200 votes in the matter of an hour. This happens because they have an internal system of dedicated readers if you will or Followers. This help them to have a pre set Audience and a network of Fans if you will. Most have said this system is a flaw that only results in bogus Votes and Content being pushed that is not that interesting. I feel this might be the case in some instances, but not all of them. There are a few ways to help Promote your Content so you do not become lost after the 1 Hour mark goes by.
Here are a few Helping Promotions available:
@payitforward - This is a Network of fellow Steemians who help each other get their content out in front of more vast audiences. This network has been a huge help to New Steemians and is an excellent way to help one and other.
Steemit.chat - This is a chat dedicated to everything Steemit and has numerous rooms developed to help members with all of the questions they may have on the inner workings of Steemit. This is one of my favorite ways to Promote, as many of the members in the chat are very helpful and have pretty decent influence.
@followback - This is a purpose I am attempting to create, this would be another Network of users who can help each other through the following Feature on Steemit. United you are a stronger influence and helping your fellow Creator can also help your Curation Rewards .
This Idea is just another way to get members to see each other and will help make this site more personable.
Follow those who follow and comment and follow back those who follow...
Lets build a Community!!!
I think a part of the problem you're describing is simply the fact that steemit doesn't have so many users yet.
Additionally to that: I'm not sure if willingly trying to write popular posts is the best way to write great posts. I would think that writing for the purpose of writing may probably be the better way. - Of course I also know the urge to be noticed, who doesn't (I mean we live in the age of Instagram :| ) and the fact that steemit literally pays for popularity doesn't make it any easier to resist it. I'm just not sure if it's worthwhile to think about this kind of things too much. :)
Keep on writing!
