Pay It Forward Curation Contest - Week 3

source on original post page

Very tough call for me on this one. I do not follow very many people, and do not use my follow list very often, so I went through some of my recent comments to and replies received from new users, and chose 3 to follow. In no particular order here they are:

          1. mr-bike (45), @mr-bike, he is, as described by himself, An English teacher in South Korea. I think I first met him in the IFC game sponsored by @apolymask. He is a very intelligent and thought provoking person, with some very good content and resteems. Here is one of his entries from the IFC Information Finding Championship- Season 1: Round 27 entry- Alphabet writing Very creative effort on his part.
Post summary: This particular challenge was to utilize every letter of the Alphabet in a four sentence post. His entry was pretty unique, and I found to be a fun one to read.

          2. floxycool (42), @floxycool, She is someone I found on one of my help a new user out jaunts through the #introduceyourself tag. (which is becoming a wasteland of hypocritical dolphins), so I got lucky to find an actual new user. She is from Delta, Nigeria, and describes herself as "A curious personality for mysteries, making new friends and new discoveries.", so she should fit in well here in steemit land. She joined steemit in Feb. She blogs about "Life", here is one of the post of hers that I read, My Experience with A Pick-Pocket it was a very good read. Post summery, as her title indicates her post was of an experience in a taxi cab ride where an individual tried to steal from her, very well dramaticly written piece.

          3. DeXvid (37), @dexvid, He is also someone I got lucky on during an Introduceyourself tag hunt. he describes himself as - "Guitarist, Sound Engineer, Music Producer, Video Editor & Crypto Investor". He joined in April, this month, so does not have very much on his blog as of yet, but I did enjoy his introduction post, which he made in both English and Spanish. Here is his introduction post, Hey DeXvid! @introduceyourself! don't be rude! Post summary: He shares some of his life, and pictures and talents, dreams and desires, very well formatted, (may be a few to many pictures), but it was his first post, and If I were you I would let the pictures load, some are quite good.

The little spacer above I made so feel free to use it, it wasn't like that hard to make.
If you would like to play in this round there is still a little bit of time, just click the big Pay it forward picture and you will be taken to the right page, or well heck - here you go - Pay It Forward Week 3 Contest Entry area

Sort:

@dexvid only post is to old to vote on and give any rewards.

Other 2 are voted for. If you want feel free to leave him or switch to a different person.

For right now I think I would like to leave @dexvid as a choice, He may have limited time for steemit, or just be busy, I would hate to drop him, then see a new post from him in 2 days.

Understandable. If you see him return change the link in your post and make sure to reply to me so I notice the change and give him a vote.

I will.

Hello guys!
@thedarkhorse, it's a pleasure to meet you. Congratulations on a great contest that you've put up. I'm honored to be nominated for it by @bashadow. Hopefully I'm not too late to stay inside of this week's contest. This evening I'll upload my new post. I promise it'll be fire content. :)
hope you guys have a great day today!

@DeXvid

I hope I'm not too late for the @thedarkhorse's pay it forward contest @bashadow

cheers!!!

Way to go @dexvid! So glad you decided to get a post in the contest :)

Thanks for making a new post that I could upvote for you.

Not that I'm surprised, but you have featured some great people once again for the contest. Thanks for your continued participation. All the best.

I like supporting the new user, and competitions like this are a great way to do it.

This were very interesting entries @bashadow.
Commented & Upvoted on all. Keep it up, loving seeing your comments all over lol

@bashadow, I am glad to see you in the contest and wish you good luck! your participants are worthy of attention Steemit. I also participate in the contest and presented my participants. Your post is beautiful.

Great entry @bashadow! I too find it difficult to find quality posts in the introduce yourself tag so kudos to you for sifting through it all to find some good ones! And I read through the comments and love that you gave @dexvid an opportunity to enter as well; so kind of you! And, I love the pay it forward divider too! Thanks for that :)

I was supposed to enter @mr-bike the next round. Great that you had him already. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else will enter him though :)

Me either, I need to start looking for more new users if I am going to continue in the contest. This is a great way to get some eyes on people that may get left in the dust, so I would like to continue with the support of it.

Have you found new ones? I am having no luck with a genuine steemian who is worth the mention.

It takes digging through the #introduceyourself tag, I ignore the hot and trending just use the new, Also the lesser used tag of #intrucemyself yielded some luck. There is nothing wrong with using someone that has already been mentioned, like mr.bike.

It really is getting hard to find those quality brand new users. Sometimes I will pick a random tag or try a made up one like "https://steemit.com/created/hello" I did not know anyone was using hello as a tag, but you can replace hello in the post above with anything and someone might have a post there. Usually the off the wall/made up tags are new users, not really looking to make money.

I did not know how to do that til my wife showed me a few months ago, when I started using my safety tag of #justbecause - Just because no one can say I am tag spamming, so I use that a lot as my first tag, since it is the only one that can not be edited. So just think of a tag a new user might use, and try it out.

Nice to see mr-bike get a shout out! I like him and hope he does well on steemit and in the IFC contest and just in life in general. ._. Will have to look at the other two a lil closer. Thanks for providing such a helpful service!

@apolymask If you like this entry take a quick look at the contest. Have all the entries listed at the end of the contest post to make it easier to see everyone's entries.

We are always looking for more entries or people to help support the newer members of steemit.

Sorry for the super delayed response.. But I'd be happy to help a little bit if I can. It seems like a good cause, unfortunately I'm so busy with my own contest I can't even keep up.. But.. I can find a little time to help. Can you link me to one of your newer rounds and I'll try to do an entry of my own?

I try to support the players as much as I can. It makes for a fun game when we have a lot of players. The ABC's round was fun to read some of those, and seemed to have a lot of entries.

hi @bashdow Congratualtions to your week2 winning. and are able to pick 3 more for this week 3 contest. good luck

  • ha.ha.. since you don't fol low many , why not start on me ( I just _fol owned you )
  • I think we are in several discord group. that's why your handle is familiar to me.
  • I wanted to also try to write a similar post to practice my writing, perhaps this contest is a good motivation for me to write?

Anyway, good luck to you in this contest

I added you, to my follow list, I don't use it to often, and have a tendency to rework it quite often. I am just not one of those that can keep track of and up to date with to many people. I did recently remove about 80% of the discord rooms I was on, just far to many to keep track of and active in, I had I think it was 16 of them, so, back to just three rooms for awhile. Newbieresteemday room, the IFC room, and steemitramble room. Will see your post and comments around I am sure.

Thanks. I think that is the progressive steps as we move along Steemit. I also join too many until I can not focus. This is one of the discord I seek to be active.
Btw. I use Ginabot lt9 alert me if my handle is mentioned

I had gina bot, guess I still do, but I removed the discord room she was on, so no more updates, but I use steemworld so still get most of the mentions, just not the discord mentions.
