RE: Closed: Week 31 - Pay It Forward Curation Contest

Back around again this week:

I'll see if I can scratch out some time for visiting, but in case I don't manage. Does @pifc have a curation trail on SteemAuto?

Entry #7

@bengy there is a trail, @pifctrail but I haven't been using it yet. Was going to get it set up, but the issue is size of vote and how many votes PIFC tends to do in rapid succession. It could crush someone's VP.

So was thinking maybe that I would do just vote the featured bloggers with it. This would still be 30-40 votes a week and most are in a matter of 3 days.

Let me know your thoughts.

People would be following with a scaling (or fixed if they wanted). Also, you can set a cutoff for stopping the automation... it would be handy for those of us that use the automation due to the lack of time to chase every lead! ... but I'm confused, why use a seperate account for the trail? Doesn't the @pifc account only vote on the entries?

Just on the contest alone it votes on all the comments to for the entry and as I'm out reading entries some comments get voted too. Plus this isn't the only post we have for the week and now we have Pimp Your Post entries to upvote. The votes are all over the place. Then add in self voting, votes of judges, and some votes for supporters when VP allows and it adds up. Currently at 142 votes in the last 7 days.

Does the curation trail follow comment votes? I don't know!

Honestly I'm not sure on that one. Either way the idea was that if we used a different account it could upvote only selected posts like entries and the featured blog posts. This will at least take it down to about 50-60 votes a week.

Was going to do a post asking the opinions of the community if that would be best or do just the featured blog posts which gets it down to about 30-40 votes a week depending on the week. Yet another option was to only vote on the actual entries with the account and help grow those who are helping curate, but I think that is way to much like trickle down economics...lol.
