Week 7 is bringing a few changes to help make sure we are better serving the featured bloggers! Next week I expect a few more changes too as currently there is an open discussion in this post where I'm asking for help from you on how to make the contest better. If you want your voice heard go there and share your thoughts.

Just a little reminder the purpose of this contest is to help all of the blogger who get featured. If you have spare time please check back each day and look at the bottom of this post as I will keep updating the list of entries. Visit some of the entries and let them know how you found them and give the best ones an upvote!
Contest Date Range
First Change is about the Cut Off Time for valid entries. To make sure that there is time for all entries to be viewed and the featured bloggers all get the exposure which this contest is designed to provide we will be only taking entries from Tuesday- Saturday 11:59pm CDT (CDT is Central Daylight Time). Need this time to revolve around my time so I can make changes to the posts at a set time for me, midnight.

Your Entry will be a single Curation Post that highlights 3 other bloggers with a reputation score of 50 or below and link to 1 of their posts.

We are looking for Quality Original Content, this is stress week after week yet we are getting many single photo posts as featured content, or cut/paste post from Wikipedia or other sources. Neither of these are worthy of being featured.
We want to see no less then 200 words of original written content. So a single photo is fine as long as there is 200 words with it.
To make it easy to estimate 200 words figure there needs to be 12 lines of content.

And you are correct it really is hard to find the gems at lower rep levels which is why I think SO many on steemit will overlook someone under a 50. Which is why I used that level as a cut off to try and feature those who have the hardest time getting noticed.
That is so true - I see it so often. There are quite a few Steemians who have reputation levels above 50 who actually either just copy and paste or just load cool images from other sites either claiming it as their own or simply posting a simple copy and paste link back to the source without any actual contribution in terms of anything. I look forward to continually supporting your initiative and highlighting the Steemians I find worthy. Thank you for starting this project.

Well my friend, you are welcome. If you get bored or get some extra time, stop by my place and play some games there. I make my games quick and easy, I called them 60-second games. I've got two of my three selected already... and have been sitting here waiting with bated breath for your post - at last you've put me out of my misery, lol.
Running SO far behind this morning. Actually planned to release this at Midnight as we are changing up the timing of the start and stops, but after a 13 hour day of manual labor on a warm 95% humidity day I was done for last night.
Yuck! Actually, I prefer the slightly later start as I then have a halfway decent chance of upvoting and grabbing a little curation reward.
With how little I post you could just set me on an autovote. I use https://steemdunk.xyz/ and you can then set the timing of the vote and what percentage. You can also limit how many posts per day get voted on.
Ah, do they work better than SteemAuto? I've tried that and I'm not convinced it's working, even when I set the settings stupidly low, it doesn't seem to do anything.
No idea about steemauto as this was the first one I found and it works as advertised. You set the percentage, when you want the vote to be cast, and how many times per day an author can get a vote (I set at 1 on everyone).
I'm easy as I post 2-4 times a week so I'll never drain your voting power. This week I might have 5 posts if I can find the time as there are a few topics I've wanted to post about. But if that happens it will be an oddity, not the norm.
I love @steemdunk and recommend it to everyone. Here's an older post with my review of them. I've never tried the other one.

That's a fairly convoluted sentence haha, so feel free to ask if you have no idea what I'm talking about :)
When I was looking into it, it appears that you have to be using Ginabot on a phone to access those settings. That's why I started looking for other solutions.

Like you, I trust that people are being honest here, and it's so disappointing when we see otherwise. Your entries are wonderful and I seriously hope you reconsider. I know I can speak for the entire contest "crew" with my words :)

I do. I spent hours finding these people. I was even suspicious of this persons posts, but after combing through their previous posts I saw no signs of Cheetah declaring their content theft. When I put these posts forward, I am vouching to others for these people. This means a big deal to me, as when I say something I want those who know me to know that things are what I say.
It occurs to me that there is another way I can serve this awesome challenge. That is by going through the other submissions and upvoting those posts I agree are great, overlooked posts. Because I believe in this project, that I will do as it will add more power to what is being done here. Look at it this way. On my own submission, I spent a total of 6 votes before even going to look at the other submissions. On top of this, several votes were cast by others who trusted me that could have been better spent elsewhere (like on other submissions). By conservative estimates, this could have been ten upvotes solidifying the other submissions.
I am going to write a post on all of this later (the costs of plagiarizing on a community) once I have collected enough of my rewards today to try something out. Thank you for the kind words, and hoping I made sense with how I am seeing this enough so you wont
Just an FYI, one of the ways I spot a stolen content post is something that looks so well written it might be professionally written is to use google search.
I take a sentence that looks like it hasn't been "spun" (key words changed to avoid detection) is to put it into Google search with quotes around it. If it comes back with any matches I look at them and see. You can also search by photo in the images tab of google and this will find most stolen content real fast. Just right click on a photo from a post and get the photo location info and paste that into google and it will tell you what pages that photo is on.
Maybe I should make a post about this topic as it's one that is hard to see sometimes.

This jackass took my comment from here and posted it as his own post. If @erodedthoughts hadn't pointed it out to me there is no way I would have ever known about the theft and he would have probably gotten away with it. Instead I looked at each of his posts and everything is stolen content and removed all rewards from him.
Anyways in the end there is no question that stolen content will end up entered into the contest. Some is so well "spun" that you can't find it easily and others just doesn't look stolen so you wouldn't even think to check.
you will miss them once in awhile . I do and the amount of time it takes to figure it out is to time consuming .By no means are they a reflection of you . Your efforts are noticed and appreciated by many .
Thank you for your kind words. Last night and maybe even a little this morning my emotions were all over the place as I tried to hide from my embarrassment with anger.
Please don't feel bad. I have found it to be difficult to detect plagiarism. I am still new here and also, I am geek and a nerd and in my real life, I have to trust people at face value and often been taken advantage of or "stabbed in the back" for not digging deeper than what it appears.
So, it is doubly difficult to find the borderline and to not fall victim of plagiarism as some are really good at it and I am not good at detecting them.
This one I am surprised Cheetah didn't catch. It appeared that it was all copied word for word from the little bit I looked over once it was pointed out to me.
I can say I limit people a lot in real life. I got burned a lot too when I was young, and perhaps go to far at times in how little rope I give to others. Thanks for the kind words.
I completely understand because truthfully, I'd be feeling the same way, even though I know it's not really 'rational', if you know what I mean. I think your alternative plan is a good one; we could always use more people noticing the quality posts out there!

What is a bounty exactly?
A bounty is money sent to a post to be distributed to the users commenting on it. It provides a way to reward users directly and works in addition to the steem/sbd they receive from the blockchain. It works independently of SteemPower.
You create a bounty by sending any amount of sbd/steem to @steem-bounty together with a post-url in the memo.
How can I earn a bounty Users are then competing for the bounty by writing their answers to the post in comments that will achieve upvotes from the community and especially the bounty creator. The money of the bounty gets distributed to all top level comments of the post at the same time when the post is paid out (7 Days after it was written). How much everyone gets depends on the votes the comments received. The sender of the bounties votes are weighted higher so that she decideds where 80% of the bounty money goes and all other votes determine the rest.@steem-bounty does all of this for you automatically.
