You said yourself that the powers that be would never allow another power to take over. You need to find some way to transition to this.
The future I'm envision has no person "taking over" at all. The very concept is rejected by decentralized, networked solutions which fight against all forms of hierarchical power. Good blockchain protocols have no rulers and are provable secure, fair, and consistent.
Yeah but in an Anarco-Capitalist society Apple could buy or form their own privitize security.
They could certainly try. Give Tom Woods' post a read and let me know what you think. When we look at other examples where corrupt corporations do really evil, nasty things, it's often with a head-nod from the corrupt government which is already in place. Often the argument against voluntaryism is that it might create competing mafia groups who fight together with one of them eventually gaining power to become the dominant player. So... basically what we have no with Statist government, yeah?
So people won't be unjustly killed under an Anarcho-Capitalist society?
Nah, I'm not dreaming of a utopia. For me, a utilitarian approach works well here. How many are unjustly killed? Is the number more or less? Take, for example, the war on drugs (which would not exist in an Anarcho-Capitalist society) and evaluate how lives would be better (or worse) if we legalized everything. Thankfully, other countries have already taken this approach and treat substance abuse as a health issue, not a criminal issue with excellent results so we have some real evidence to look to. To me, it's about what works.
nature abhors a vacuum..
Sure, but is nature "evil"? Evil is a human construct made worse by government (IMO).
Good luck with that.
Thank you! I'll need it. :)
You'll just bring the draft back.
Maybe. But what happens when no one shows up? The people are far more powerful than those "in charge" and that truth is the number one fear throughout history rulers have worried about and tried to conceal.
We just don't agree.
And that's totally fine. I hope you have enjoyed the conversation as I have. :)
Peace.
