Out to the middle of the sea you're drawn,
As the cold air plays on your bones.
The salty sea air caresses your cheek,
Just as she used to do.
Under the water where the little fishes swim,
The mind lies in peaceful serenity.
Starting the new day with everlasting possibility,
The current floats you along, setting your mind adrift.
Overlapping waves kiss your skin,
Like warm and smooth hands massaging your soul.
Closing your eyes and giving into sin,
Suddenly you see a different light.
Walking away from watery demise,
The sunlight making ideas emerge in haste.
Today is the day you will meet the one,
Smiling at yourself you begin to laugh until you cry.
Unsure if it's the cold or just adrenaline,
A shaky hand is brought to your throat.
Emotions course through like the cursed current,
All consumed, by the ocean in you.
