Male peafowl are called peacocks and female peafowl are called peahens.
When it is mating season for peafowl the peacocks clear out big areas that is their mating territory the peahen comes by many territories and then she will inspect the peacocks and see which one has the most colorful train (tail feathers). Then she picks the male that has the most colorful train. Her couch size is 4-8 eggs for the Indian peafowl anyways. The Indian peafowl is the most commonly found peafowl in the United States.
