There was once an old man full of resentments who lived hating everyone. He always found blame for the misfortunes he had experienced throughout his life.
One day while walking through the streets of his neighborhood he met a crying child who had lost his kite. The old man without thinking told the boy; -Don't worry, don't cry anymore, I'll help you find your kite.
That day he spent the entire day looking for the kite. But for some reason as he walked he began to reflect on his life, while the boy with the innocent face had put all his trust in that old man thinking that he would help him find his kite.
After a few hours they gave up as they had not been able to find the kite. That night the old man experienced immense tranquility because although he did not find the kite, he had done something good that gave him great satisfaction.
It was then that he realized that he had wasted his life hating and blaming everyone for his misfortunes, and if there is anyone to blame, he would be the only one. He had forgotten what it felt like to perform small acts of good thinking of others and not of himself.
This little story teaches us that despite all the problems and misfortunes that we have experienced throughout our lives, it is not worth keeping it in mind and it is not worth stopping doing good, no matter how small it may be, since by doing good is where the soul is healed.
