The New Paradigm in Blockchain

In my last article I talked about The Evolution of Peerplays. After having looked back, let us look at what the future looks like.

The blockchain ecosystems of the world has only partially fulfilled their promise to create a real alternative to the current centralized computing world of today. Much of this is due to the reliance of building on the current network layers that make up the Internet today. Dapp developers and blockchains alike rely on various HTTPS, CA, and DNS layers that have centralized limitations and erode any promises of privacy and security from a public decentralized blockchain.

A new way of approaching Dapps with gamified mechanics needs to be introduced in order for not only the gaming sector, but also for other industries where gamification is needed to be effective in the upcoming marketplace. Education, finance, banking, environment, airlines, and experiential food and beverage are industries which are the first feeling the pressures of this shift in market demands.

Peerplays will take a new approach

In creating a viable gamified Dapp platform that combines the best combination of incentives, performance, and scalability.

Some of the observable phenomena in existing blockchain platforms has identified that many are lacking in the ‘last mile’ communication infrastructure necessary to deliver and deploy Dapps which provide the value of decentralization to the end users. This has caused Dapp developers to be weighed down with liability issues in relation to their tokenized environments often making them the custodial holders.

While many have gone back to regulators as a means to remedy the situation, an approach to fix these critical elements through application of newer more robust protocols in tandem with blockchain can provide a complete end to end solution for developers and users to harness the power of decentralized applications.

We have identified these elements as the essentials required for Peerplays to address these needs:

  • New P2P Encrypted Network Layer for Dapp Communications
  • High Efficiency Indexing and Database Management
  • Secure Data Storage Layer for Bulk Data
  • Smart Token Management Framework
  • Blockchain Oracle Systems
  • Verified Decentralized RNG
  • Simple Dapp User Interface Medium
  • Subject Matter Expert Committees
  • Tokenomics and Discovery

While each of these items deserves their own whitepaper, a high level review of the issues and benefits to enabling these features helps us to better understand the full scope of the value it will bring to the Peerplays ecosystem.
