Why do mosquitoes bite some people and not others?

in #people6 years ago

Mosquitoes are one of the most annoying and unpleasant "dangers" posed by the summer evenings. Have you ever wondered, however, why mosquitoes bite some people, while others fail? And this fact has its explanation, understand it now.

Mosquito bites are painful not only because terrible itch, but also because they leave unsightly red spots on the skin. And most times mosquitoes rarely us "pardon" with only one or two bites!

In fact, you probably already have noticed that mosquitoes have their preferences and bite some people, while others simply ignored. The attractiveness of some people is due to the chemicals that their skin removed, and its specific flora.

Experts explain what biological factors a person can become a mosquito bait. If these insects find you irresistible, here are some possible reasons:

Pregnancy
Female mosquitoes (those who bite) are attracted to carbon dioxide. Special nerve receptors help them find it in the environment. But what does this have to do with pregnancy? A study found that women at a later stage of their pregnancy (after 28 gestational weeks) exhaled 21% more carbon dioxide than those who were not pregnant.

Pot
Another possible reason I choose mosquitoes bite some people's sweat. Lactic acid, which is a byproduct of vigorous physical activity, and is excreted in sweat is very tempting for mosquitoes. If a person sweats profusely, higher body temperature may also play a role and attract insects.

Blood group 0
Mosquitoes have their preferences and one of them is associated with blood group. Several studies confirm the fact that mosquitoes are attracted more by people with blood group 0. People with this blood type are prone to emit certain odors that mosquitoes like.

beer
It turns out, alcohol and beer in particular can lead to more bites. There is still no sufficient number of studies to reinforce this fact with certainty, but still keep one in mind.

genes
Some people are protected from mosquitoes because of their genes. Just they produce natural repellents against mosquitoes that are genetically predetermined.

I call those animals vampires, however recently, I have suddenly become resistant to their bite... I think it has to do with my diet since that is what changed recently too.
