This Grade Two maths problem has stumped people over the world when a mum shared it on social media to get help to answer the question for her daugther homework. The maths problem is below
Can you figure it out?
“There are 49 dogs signed up to compete in the dog show,” the question begins. “There are 36 more small dogs than large dogs signed up to compete. How many small dogs are signed up to compete?”
If you are able to solve the problem, let me know the answer in the comments

Thank you for your comment. However, I would like to know if you can solve the problem. Can you come up with a solution?
It seems that the jury was not able to classify at least one of the dogs. So I would propose a pragmatic solution which could probably assumed to be 42 small dogs 6 large dogs and 1 medium sized dog. Obviously 42 is the correct answer as it is the ultimate answer to the most meaningful problems in the universe.
