Elderly Couple Selling Art Paintings at a Muscovite Park - Peoplephotography by worldcapture Week #25

in #peoplephotography6 years ago (edited)

Good morning!

This shot, taken at the park that runs along the Gogolevsky Boulevard (Гоголевский бульвар), is my entry for the People Photography Contest - Week #25 hosted by @worldcapture.

This is not a park in the traditional sense of the word. In reality, it's a long avenue, with a dedicated path for pedestrians and cyclists in the middle of it.

There are benches and trees along the way, for the entire length of the avenue... so it really feels like a long park.

Some people were using it as their own personal marketplace. For example, this couple was selling artwork. I had no clue if any of them painted these... or if they were simply acting as a middle man.

The guy was obviously wary that I was taking a photo of him... but he didn't complain about it. He even made a bit of a pose. 😁

The woman never lifted her head, though... she was very focused on fixing that painting's frame and didn't took her eyes away from it, even for a second.

How are the avenues at your city or town? Do you have the habit of beautifying them like this? (And by you, I mean your Government or City Hall, of course.)

On photos I immediately understand, that this photo you made in Moscow.

Google Translate.

Excellent picture captures very well how cozy a walk on this avenue can be! The answer to your question: In Venezuela in recent years the beautification of our places of public recreation has declined a lot, even a historic city like CALABOZO State Guárico is falling apart due to lack of maintenance.

I am sorry to hear that. I hope things return to normal quick enough... 😶
Thanks for stopping by.
