If I recall, the demo games are one hour until free gain. First Adventure is 2 hours and the others are 3 hours.
Gems are helpful for harder battles but not required. Tryin' to keep it Simple!

I think that those gems will mostly be used by the players of your game for upgrading their already powerful Legendary frogs and/or Golden frogs, though I think that the more powerful a frog already is, the more gems will be required to upgrade their stats further. π€π€π !PIZZA !STRIDE !DIY
