Very informative video of wildcrafting (foraging) for emergency food.

I really like this guy, because he not only points out the right plants (and the bad ones); but he prepares them on video. This step is overlooked by a lot of people when teaching what only and not How!

The tree cambien is also a medicine source when it is Slippery Elm (Red Elm) that is used for collection.

Nice. Something I definitely need to get better at, for sure, is being able to identify woodland edibles!

I try to look up a wildcrafting video every day, but I manage about three times a week. This is above average; and a little more useful than most.
:) :D

Sure is useful knowledge!

Yup, yummy stuff!
:D

alfieaesthetics has a new video out on youtube 25 wild edibles.
I love his output, entertaining and informative :)

Thanks, I will look for it!

Good post on collecting and preparing woodland edibles. I will mark this one for future reference.

Glad it helped you! I learned a lot too. :)

I knew we could eat lots of plants but how to prepare them is just as important.

The preparation part was why I posted this one. Very good information to have!
