Diary Excerpts - After Alcohol and Six Figure Salaries (Losing everything can be marvellous)

in #pepys7 years ago

I won't bore you too much with this but as a great fan of Pepys Diaries and Social History, I have tried to keep an account of my life over the past thirty years. The trigger for this was falling foul of the illusion after being warned about it at five, way back in 1964 by what some people might call God or The Universe, Alla, Buddha, Krishna etc.

Personally I prefer not to name the purveyor of my experience, I'm not religious and don't see the point of a middleman when it comes to spirituality. My advice is going direct with your higher power (for want of a better word) that way you can't be brainwashed with others beliefs and agenda's, it's your trip, you run it.

I digress, I did get drawn into the Illusion and instead of pursuing a music career as a singer in a rock n roll band I went to London and found myself earning six figures at a very young age. I wasn't anything special but in the eighties there was a proliferation of money and Champagne in The City, especially in IT Project Management.

That high flying fast living has some serious consequences and the diaries, in essence, are a record of demise and struggle to re-emerge as a sober responsible human being.

Perhaps you might find it of interest, it will be Published in its entirety but I thought I'd throw it at the Steemit community for comment and perhaps guidance?

The first entry will be edited in a few days so this is a heads up and I thank you in advance for any comment you may have.
