What do I mean... these Ginger planted them self in this patch of the garden and have been thriving ever since.
These sweet potatoes are beginning to thrive in this sandy soil because I have covered them with a layer of Organics and mulch.
Permaculture is dummy proof because it is really just allowing nature to do what it does best. By doing a few simple tasks we can recreate the natural order of things in our own backyards.
This is indeed the exciting thing about getting permaculture right. If we design well, we should see certain tasks getting completed either by nature herself or by another participant. Pigs, for example, would help you dig up those sweet potatoes :p
So that is what ginger actually looks like?

it kinda looks like your message under the last picture was no completed to me just allowing nature to do it's thing seems to me a bit better :) nice pictures now to find ginger in Canada that will plant itself :P thanks for sharing keep up the good work and great finds
