I love permaculture and have plans for my own little 6 acre forest. I'd love to turn it into a super productive mini-farm, and these are all great ideas to get it started. You can definitely go broke buying all the plants/seeds you need to kickstart a farm.
Also check your local library for seed-sharing programs. Ours has a program like this, and it is awesome!
