Perseverance is the ability to endure failure while you keep moving forward. Perseverance creates habits, habits create consistency, and consistency creates tenacity.
When you are under pressure and face impossibilities, you must continue to praise God, believe in God, and pray. As long as you keep the faith, you must keep going.
You cannot give up.
"But the God of patience and consolation give you one mind according to Christ Jesus." - Romans 15: 5
There are two types of perseverance:
Natural perseverance - based on your will and your own strength.
Supernatural perseverance - the divine ability that comes from God.
From God comes the ability to be patient and persevere. Perseverance is also relentless diligence.
"But he who endures to the end will be saved." - Matthew 24:13
“Do not fear at all what you are going to suffer. Behold, the devil will throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. " - Revelation 2:10
He who overcomes will be clothed in white robes; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. " - Revelation 3: 5
It is not how you start, but how you end. You want to make sure that in the end you are still saved.
Don't give up in the middle of the road. Some people have come to feel tired, discouraged, and stagnant.
When you stop moving forward, it is much more difficult to move forward again.
If you have been praying for something and your prayers have not been answered yet, you should continue to pray. Those prayers will accumulate. You cannot stop.
One of the greatest weapons of the enemy in recent times is the temptation to resign. Many want to surrender, especially in these times. But remember that Jesus has never taken a break from His faithfulness. It has always been there. Don't give up on God.
“And not only this, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces patience; and patience, test; and the test, hope ”. - Romans 5: 3-4
Every time you go through a crisis, it will produce perseverance and hardness in you. It is a powerful mark of character in a believer.
Reasons why people give up:
They don't know how long their circumstances will last.
They have disappointments and unfulfilled expectations. They prayed and received no answers, they received prophetic words that have not been fulfilled.
They have been offended and criticized.
We are here today because God never abandoned us. You must keep your eyes on Jesus, knowing that your reward is yet to come.
What does the Word say about those who persevere?
"To him who overcomes and keeps my works to the end, I will give authority over the nations." - Revelation 2:26
He who overcomes will be clothed in white robes; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. " - Revelation 3: 5
“To him who overcomes, I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will never leave it again; and I will write on it the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from heaven, of my God, and my new name. " - Revelation 3:12
"To him who overcomes, I will give to sit with me on my throne, just as I have overcome, and I have sat with my Father on his throne." - Revelation 3:21
If you are not a renouncer, God will reward you not only on earth but also in heaven.
"Therefore, we too, having around our great cloud of witnesses, let us strip ourselves of all weight and of the sin that besieges us, and let us run with patience the race that we have ahead, setting our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, which for the joy set before him suffered the cross, belittling shame, and sat at the right hand of the throne of God. " - Hebrews 12: 1-2
There is a cloud of witnesses telling you not to give up on your call. Have faith and don't give up!
“Let us not tire of doing good; because in due time we will reap, if we do not lose heart ”. - Galatians 6: 9
