I read or was read the story of the Pied Piper as a child but had forgotten it, and I don't remember it having that meaning, so great to be told the story again with the wisdom around being in integrity and not cheating people.
I'm new to Steemit and from everything I'd heard I was expecting more posts about Truth and what is going on in the world, as you say more open discussions about many don't want to know, hear or talk about. It would be great to have this because some of what I'm hearing and finding is saying that life is not looking good for humanity and huge change is needed fast!
Yeah, we can't impose our ideals on everyone else but we can definitely live them ourselves to their fullest and purest extent so that at least the little world we build around ourselves can blossom and thrive according to our values. I'm building a new start-up village in the Valdivian rainforest, on the Pacific coast of southern Chile right now so that my friends and family can grow up in an an environment of peace, freedom, and virtue regardless of what the rest of the world is up to.
That sounds wonderful! I often feel I'd like to live on a tropical island away from the world!
I hope your start-up village goes really well for you. Being off the grid is very appealing!
