RE: Push came to shove - why I am powering down

in #personal8 years ago

i am brand new to steem, but i found your story compelling, two sons in the Corp, Paris Island trained and willing to defend our country, you have raised two fantastic young men it appears. I i only have 4$ and some change in steem is there a way to transfer it to you? i dont really understand all of the ins and outs of how this works.

I am so proud of my sons. It really was a decision they made on their own. As a person who's been on Steemit for nearly a year I highly recommend you take your funds and POWER UP. Get your vests up. Accumulate. And you can use it for a rainy day just like I'm doing. Your offer makes my heart sing and I appreciate you for it. Trust me, I'll yell for help if I get to that point. <3@bdl1165 - thank you for your amazing gesture and welcome to Steemit!

please do, a paltry gesture on my part compared to you and your sons commitments , thank them for their service and tell them we will always have their backs.

“From the Halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country’s battles
On the land as on the sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine.

Our flag’s unfurled to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in ev’ry clime and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the snow of far-off Northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job
The United States Marines

Here’s health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we’ve fought for life
And never lost our nerve;
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven’s scenes;
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.”
