Most people believe that humans are either socially active or socially awkward. But have you ever wondered why certain people you know, probably you, who aren't really socially awkward or sound like they're reserved and with amazingly good senses of humor, most times people prefer their own company to the company of others?
Human beings are socially complicated so it's not that simple to just be grouped as either introverted or extroverted. There are other personality types.
The name "ANTISOCIAL EXTROVERT" is an ironic and contradicting ideology, which describes a lively person or a very social person, who has a reserved part that comes into play almost all the time, same time as they are being social.
Imagine having two personalities in a person. One minute the person is loud and boisterous, the next minute he or she just turns quiet and kind of sober.
Antisocial extroverts usually love the company of the people they love, friends and family, but also want alone time of at least four hours. It's just the same as using up a phone battery, charging the battery till it's full, but overcharging usually gets it drained easily.
This concept applies to antisocial extroverts because they get depressed easily when they are alone for long, but they need alone time as well. They feel mentally and emotionally drained at the end of most days. They usually feel offended when they didn't get a party invite, although they are certain that they won't make it probably because the bed suddenly got more comfortable than usual, or they don't like any of their clothes anymore, or the cat had to be feed, or the wall paint just became so appealing to look at or some other ridiculous reason. In simple truth, they don't just want to go out, unless their friends come around to pressure them or it's something they can't avoid going to or being a part of.
Antisocial extroverts posses shaky confidence. It may just go rocket high on very good days and they feel like there is nothing they can't conquer, on other days it's just on average and on not very good days it hits rock bottom.
Ever wondered why a friend of yours or maybe you, a very good dancer or a singer, performs marvelously on some days, and on other days will shy away from the spotlight? Well this could be the reason.
These people are naturally and exceptionally creative and like to bury to themselves in art of any form when they are alone. Almost every antisocial extrovert battles with depression, mood swings, unstable friendships, amidst others.
To deal with this, they should surround themselves with friends and people who understand them or are similar to them so that they don't get pressured and feel like they're being pulled in too many different directions.
Looking at all these, at least you will be able to understand yourself (if you are one) better or your very cool friend who always seems to go out of your radar occasionally.
I am an antisocial extrovert, are you?
