NARCISSISM
The opposite of social anxiety or shyness, a narcissist usually needs the admiration and constant attention of other people to feel comfortable with what he/she does or the environment in which he/she operates.
Narcissism is considered a personality disorder in which the individual lacks empathy and feels superior to other people. This can greatly affect their work and personal relationships.
This pathology has treatment but the person must assume his condition as something to work on. The treatment consists of psychological therapy and the insertion of the individual into support groups.
A narcissistic person can be affected by high-stress loads when he/she does not achieve his/her goal, which can trigger collateral symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and in severe cases the development of psychopathy due to the need for control.
In severe cases, pharmacological treatment may be necessary to minimize or eliminate high-stress states.
