SOCIAL ANXIETY
Some people may feel completely comfortable speaking in public, surrounded by many people, and giving their opinions openly. However, a person with social anxiety does not enjoy these luxuries, as in the most severe cases they only feel comfortable or calm being alone.
Anxiety and shyness lead the person to isolate themselves when they have not been treated. Many of the most extroverted people may have been shy for much of their lives, but because they have worked at it they know precisely how to cope.
People with this type of disorder may also have low self-esteem because they are afraid to act freely and give their opinions to avoid being subjected to the judgment of others or humiliation.
Of course, absolutely no one feels happy being humiliated or mocked, it is not necessary to suffer from anxiety to dislike this but the difference concerning someone who suffers from this pathology is that they think that for any reason they are in this danger.
How can this be treated?
Although it is possible to learn to work on it by oneself, some professional help may also be necessary. This does not mean that the person is crazy, but perhaps their life experiences generated traumas and affected their development in society.
