A big salute to you.
I hope you are well.
Two days ago my family and I were on a day of vaccination for pets at the Universidad Central de Venezuela nucleus Aragua. There we did not realize the importance of vaccinating your pet, specifically the dogs. About ten months ago we met a puppy whom we named Zeus (the god of Greek lightning) a mongrel that has brought us more joy in our lives, although quite tremendous and biting is a loving and playful dog, my children love him.
There was in this day a small sample of calves, goats and some rabbits, all of them in very good physical condition and well cared for.
Its symptoms are:
- Loss of appetite
- They stop drinking water. (Hydrophobia)
- Apathy.
- Vomiting.
- Aggressiveness.
- Excessive salivation.
All these symptoms can lead to the dog's death.
If a human is bitten by a rabid dog, he may suffer from symptoms such as:
- Fatigue
- Discomfort
- Dizziness
- loss of appetite
- Nausea.
- Hallucinations.
- Aggression.
Among others.
You should see your doctor immediately.
But thank God and science there are treatments and vaccines against this disease.
Zeus is already vaccinated against rabies and is as happy as 199 dogs and cats who were vaccinated and treated this day.
Veterinarians recommend getting the rabies vaccine every year or, depending on the quality of the vaccine, every three years.
It is very important to vaccinate and take care of our pets because the day we decide to adopt one, we are responsible for them, they become a member of your family and are loved as such, so it is our duty to care for them and protect them, as they also care for us.
Hoping that my experience and information will be useful to you.
All the pictures were taken from my cell phone.
¡Thank you for your time!
