Love seeing the crocuses bloom! Also I just learned recently that the stamen in autumn blooming crocuses are saffron that can be cooked with.
Yes, I didn't know that for a while despite using and loving the saffron flavor! I think only some species of crocuses have edible stamen though (at least from my reading before...)
