The Long Search is Over

After the passing of my old cat Sunshine, Mimi, the other cat in the house was getting lonely and looking for her buddy, often standing by the door waiting for the old guy Sunshine to come back. Sadly for all concerned that won't happen.

On Tuesday of last week some heartless being abandoned an infant kitten in a storm drain where it would have died if not rescued. Recently we've had a spate of heavy downpours, and the poor little fella would have drowned there, however, as luck would have it; my housemate decided to walk the remaining distance to work that day. He saw this helpless infant creature in the drain and contacted the fire and rescue department to save it.

The kitty was saved and adopted.

Mimi and the rest of us will be happy to welcome our new adoption to make or home complete once more.

Although baby baby sitting is something I'm looking forward to, there will be challenges, but taking in a homeless and abandoned creature and giving it a home and care is well with the effort.

Kitty has been named Stormy to signify the place he was found; in a stormdrain.

As I write this the smart, happy and playful creature is snuggled up against my arm having a nap.

All is good!
