My dog, Abbot, is a beautiful yellow lab filled with joy and curiosity.
Yesterday, as usual, I kicked the back door open to let him get some air in the yard. I carelessly went back inside and made lunch. About 15 minutes later I heard a loud yelp from the woods out back! I dropped my peanut butter and jelly sandwich and ran outside to see what was the matter, only to see Abbot running back to the house at an alarmingly fast pace. He ran into his kennel and immediately hid in his doghouse. I followed. Upon inspecting him for around 15 minutes I realized nothing was wrong, or so I thought. I went back inside and flipped the TV back on. After finishing my sandwich and shamelessly getting caught up in an episode of Game of Thrones I went back out to check on him. The poor Pup!! His snout was so swollen he could barely open his mouth. Ill let the pictures show the severity.
