Reindeer Loves Banana Like Monkey?

They need some fruits too

Normally, reindeer eats a lichen (staple food for them), there is even a type of lichen named after them, called “reindeer moss”. Most species of reindeer also eat grasses, mushrooms and mosses; Just like cows, reindeer “chew the cud” first digesting half chewed food into one stomach, only to regurgitate it, chew it some more and swallow it into another stomach based on sciencewow.ie

Reindeer can detect also a lichen even if it is under a deep snow because of they have an acute sense of smell. Through the help of their hooves they can dig the snow and it can even change in structure during colder months to assist in shovelling.
