While racism exists everywhere, I truly believe that here in the U.S., racists are a small minority. However, experience with even one such person can lead you to believe otherwise. Also, most people who are ignorant enough to be racist certainly couldn't tell the difference between a filipino and a korean for example.
As far as hospitality goes, here in the U.S. people, even in the hospitality industry, don't go as far out of their way to be hospitable as people in the Philippines. I guess it's just a cultural thing. The more money you have and the higher class hotel, etc. that you stay in, the more this changes. This has to do with money and the quality of people those expensive places hire and not race though.
