“What are your thoughts about teardrops?” I asked one of my grade 5 students. Then she answered,
“Sir, It shows when people cry. I cry when my parents don’t have enough money for my projects, when i can’t have a cake on my birthdays, when I can’t have a taste of chicken in Jollibee”
A very young mind who is only asking for simple things but just can’t afford to get it.
Then she started to be emotional so I asked her to draw an eye with teardrops.
I did not imagine that this drawing of hers will express a lot of emotions, emotions from a 10 year old child.
Meet my student Josephine Bufete and her wonderful work of art, can’t wait to give these kids a treat on my upcoming birthday 😊🙏🏻 at least to see smiles on their faces for one day..
