This is Tinubong, an Ilocano delicacy. It's name is from the container used, an internode of buho or bulo in Ilocano. The node on one end was removed, leaving only one node on the other end, called tubong.
Tinubong is made of a mixture of glutinous flour, sugar, coconut milk, strips of coconut flesh and peanuts. It is inserted on the open end and cooked over charcoal.
