RE: Our First Halloween Experience in the Philippines / Unser erstes Halloween-Erlebnis auf den Philippinen

Yes...exactly. The hearing damage is permanent, can't be reversed anymore but most people in Asia or specifically Southeast-Asia are not aware of that. My own hearing is not at it's best anymore surely because of that, and I was born and grew up in a village.
I didn't see it as an issue cos I never noticed that my hearing is not that good. I only realised it after marrying my husband and lived in Germany because we always have argument whenever we want to watch TV, because we have a big gap in tolerance towards noise LOL. I need a bit louder volume and for him it's too loud 🙈.
The hearing of my family members in Indonesia are even worse than mine now, cos I noticed it whenever I talk to them on the phone I would always have to put my phone on the table and just turn on the speakerphone and adjust the volume to a comfortable level, because I feel they always scream on the phone and I just can't do it if I kee the phone in my ear 😝.
But they are not aware of it.
