Etymology: The word“Agalon” may refer to a master, boss, or even a friend. While the term “Hayop” translates to animals.
The Agalon Hayopan lives inside anywhere in the forest, or along the rivers. They appear as ordinary human beings, but possess a special ability to command animals to do its bidding, in order to satiate their different craving. Apparently, the Agalon Hayopan eats human beings for dinner.
Once it feels the need to eat, it would walk towards the river. It would patiently wait, hiding behind the trees, for a human being to pass by that river. The innocent human being who happens to pass by the river would then become the flesh that would satisfy the Agalon Hayopan’s hunger. Once it has spotted its potential victim, it would call upon animals, such as crocodiles, to attack their chosen victim.
The reptiles would then ambush the helpless victim. The crocodiles would try to bite the poor victim’s leg, dragging them to the river. The Agalon Hayapon stays along the river and watches as the unfortunate human gets bitten by the crocodile.
Shortly after, the victim eventually dies by succumbing to the wounds sustained from the crocodile. Alas, once the victim has died from wounds caused by the crocodile attack, The Agalon Hayopan would then ask the crocodile to bring the dead body to the riverbank. Gleefully, it would approach the dead body. Starting with a small bite, little by little, the Agalon Hayopan would start devouring the cadaver. Sometimes, they would bring the victim to its house. There, it would eat the dead body, along with its family. In some occasions, it would even cook the remains of their victim, like how ordinary people cook their meat for supper.
