FOOD REVIEW: SPICE FUSION(SM CEBU CITY)
WHAT'S UP PEOPLE? As you could see I'm a huge fat guy and obviously a huge food lover. So while I was roaming around SM Cebu city and saw this very cozy looking restaurant. Spice Fusion really dragged my attention with its architectural design, with its mesmerizing lights and logo.
FOOD:
Spice Fusion restaurant is a local restaurant specializing in Southeast asian cuisine, So in their menu you could see some Philippine, Thai, Chinese, Malay, Indian and Asian cuisine and for me its a big thumbs up when the food menu has a huge variety of food choices and to taste other countries cuisine.
Here are some pictures of the food that me and my family ordered:
One of my Favorite Crispy Pork Belly
Usually when we eat crispy pork belly in other restaurants if the skin is so crispy its meat would be over cooked or hard, but in Spice Fusion the skin is so crispy and they still maintained the tenderness of its meat. The meat just literally melts on your mouth and you can easily peel off its crispy skin.
Seafood and Broccoli
All I can say is Nido Soup + Seafood + Broccoli.. Its composed of squid, fishball, shrimp, beans, carrots and broccoli. For me if you are a seafood lover this would be a good choice because it has a lot of variety of seafood on it and its fishball isn't just your ordinary street fishball, but they made there own fishball and its really good.
Grilled Stuffed Squid
In my entire life its my first time to see that a Grilled squid is stuffed with sotanghon noodles on it which they call "Sotong Bakar" and damn it was good. You can taste the freshness of the squid and the sweetness of its flavor.
Honey Chicken Wings
Its a malay street style deep fried chicken wings honey and spice batter.
Malay Chicken Curry
Malaysian style chicken curry with potato on it.
Here is a list of some of the food items on their menu:
- Shoestring Potato Lobster Ball
- Fried Flower Squid
- Sze Chuan Pork Belly in Stonepot
- Pandan Chicken
- Hot Prawn Salad
- Popcorn Shrimp
- Garlic Spring Roll
- Curry Seafood Bola Bola
Although its price ranges from 200 php - 500 php per food but it does serve 4-6 persons, So its price is quite reasonable with options of tasting other countries cuisines and the volume that it serves.
SERVICE:
We can understand that in this kind of restaurant food are served from 20-30mins but in that span of time food should be serve together, but sad to say that in our case food wasn't sent together and our drinks was served after all the food was consumed instead of serving it before the food was served.
Rate:
I would rate it 8 out of 10 thou its food and ambiance was great but its service was poor.
