I came here in the Philippines 1year and 11months ago. I arrived in manila late in the evening and i was already exhausted from the 48hours flight from my country Nigeria.
Their was this Filipino couple in which we boarded together from Nigeria. I knew they wanted to talk to me or ask me something. The husband walked up to me and asked where i was going to and i said Cebu. Fourtunately, they where also going to cebu. We talked and got along well. They told me they work at a finance office in lagos, Nigeria. They gisted me about the Philippines and other stuffs.
Unfortunately, our flight due to something we don't know about. Then i was already missing Nigeria and was now very irritated. You can imagine what am talking about if you've traveled for more than 18hrs flight. The woman told me its ok and that i'll be fine.
She and her husband talked to each other in cebuano in which i don't understand. Then the husband faced me and said, we have a relative here in manila my sister-law, i hope you can follow us to her place so that atleast you will rest before the flight issue is resolve.
I was really amazed how you could just take and accept a stranger into your home and also a foreigner in which you've never met before. Although they told me their sister in-law is okay with me coming with them but i was still marveled.
Now this is the thing about Filipinos, they might have small houses but they have a big heart.
They always want you to feel comfortable.
When they have little to offer, they offer it generously.
Philippines has been my second home and i am really happy to come across such wonderful creature in my life .

This is a very touching story @naijaberry. I was smiling all throughout the time I was reading. I am happy that you have met these kind guys along the way. Filipinos are indeed the most hospitable. :) I hope you'll meet more of them.
