In January 22, 2018, the volcano in Albay was placed in the 4th Level of Alert by The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology after it shut out a ginormous ash column this past noon.
The ashfall that occurred on noon can be seen from all over the province's Third and Second district... and even in Legazpi City! The volcano's ash column, according to the residents and officials from Albay, reached a staggering 8,000 feet.
From the recent news, over 80 Thousand evacuees were to be expected. This number could only get higher if the volcano explodes. Especially when it is estimated that it will explode imminently.
Governor Al Francis Bichara also said "Everyone is advised to wear their face masks and to stay indoors".
It is said that the volcanic ash will be thrown on the southwest because the wind comes from northeast, affecting Guinobatan, Camalig and other towns, Director Renato Solidum said. A tweet from ABS CBN News : ---------------------- Sources And again.... May god be with them. God Bless
