But two years ago, I had the chance of studying under a direct student of Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje, Jr. of Pekiti Tirsia Kali who discussed methods of identifying and gathering various spiders, centipedes, worms and other insects needed to create a native poison and the "cooking" process at precise temperatures .
During training, he also shared anecdotes with us trainees about how some ignorant students of Grand Tuhon mishandled the venomous spiders used for the mixture and almost paid with their lives!
Far as I know, it seems that this branch of FMA is the only one that openly teaches how to create and coat weapons with poison. It’s possible that the other styles of FMA either adapted to modern times and removed it from their curriculum but some may still selfishly guard their secret poison methods and will only pass it down to those within their circle.
The video below shows the more sinister side of FMA.

Thank you.
Intense! An extreme side of the martial arts for sure! I like in the video where the guys says "That's a really bad smell isn't it?" To which the guy replies, "Yeah, because it's poisonous." Classic.
Alot of mistakes were done in the video actually, Grand Tuhon recalled just casually picking up the poisonous spiders when he could've been bitten! Good thing nothing untoward happened. :P

This is a very interesting martial art. Please post more on the subject?
A bit tied up with stuff at the moment but I do plan to write more about it and other indigenous martial arts in my province as well as my training when things settle down. Thanks for stopping by!
