Our family had the privileged to visit Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan for a family holiday trip last December.

HERE'S HOW IT LOOKS

VIEW FROM CASA NEW MANILA
Reception & Cafe Marivent - room check-in and day tour registration
in this area you can see a giant man-made lake in the middle of the resort. Rooms are located in "islands"

OUR ROOM

Located at Island 2 just across the beach shore
Our room fits 6 people!

The details in the ceiling of this room is amazing!

I personally love the vibe in this pool area. It's like a scene from the show The Succession. It's giving old rich vibe! lol

We also lounged in the Dapitan Bar & Cabana where the beach is located

Casa Ladrillo
This is probably my favorite heritage house in Las Casas. The brick exterior is definitely eye catching. It's one of the resort's vacation houses

CASA BYZANTINA

Luxury six-bedroom accommodation complete with luxe amenities, and 24/7 butler service.

TOURS
The tour was part of our accommodation package if I were not mistaken.
We requested the tour on the second day of our trip as it was fully booked on the day we arrived, which is ok cause we had the time to relax and chill after the 3-hour travel from Metro Manila. Tour is a must to get the full experience of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar.

Inside Casa Quiapo

This was designed by Felix Roxas y Arroyo, the first Filipino to practice architecture in the country. The mansion was used as the first campus of the University of the Philippines School of Fine Arts. Now it is used by Bellas Artes Projects as a contemporary art space.

Lola Basyang and the kids
Fun Fact: "Lola Basyang" is the pen name of Severino Reyes, founder and editor of the Tagalog magazine Liwayway. Severino Reyes wrote a series of stories for children under the title Mga Kuwento ni Lola Basyang (The Stories of Grandmother Basyang).

Lola Basyang Bridge
In this bridge you can see some whimsical local folklore like "tikbalang" and "aswang"

Food is great but a bit pricey. (Upper left: AntiPasti Misti Php700/$13), (Upper right: Quattro Formaggi Php680/$12)

This place would make you want to walk after dinner and take lots of pictures on every corner! (seen are the accommodation rooms)

Tramvia (Old style train)
We rode one of those in the morning and still works perfectly fine!

On my way to our rooms. Was definitely feeling myself walking around 😆

Sleeping in the old, historical room was not as scary as we thought it would. It was peaceful and I definitely enjoyed the trip with the family.
The trip was overall amazing & magical. Filled my heart with nostalgic memories. I think the 3 day 2 night trip was just enough for me, would I like to visit Las Casas again? sure for a day trip I would.

Omg so niceee!! Hope I can visit there!! 😱😍😍

It's so chill and relaxing! 😄

What an amazing site to visit here in the PH. I love how the place depicts the culture of the Philippines along with the rich cultural and colonial history. Would love to visit this place someday😍

I hope you can visit there too, someday! 🤗

Omg! I really want to go here. This was on my list prepandemic. I'm excited to travel again.

I hope you can visit there too, someday! We went there last December just before the covid cases spiked 😅

:) I like that pool.. looks like the ones in Game of Thrones..

Oh!! Which part of the scene? I must have forgotten. I love Game of thrones too!

image.png

I forget that exact scene in GOT, but I think its in the palace of that one place where that young girl got poisoned.. the land where the guy with the spear was jumping around and almost beat, but got smooshed be the mountain.

found it. it's kinda like a spanish place i think..

Wow! that place is amazing!! It does resemble! I think i vividly remember it now. I think it's Dorne one of the nine constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms. Didn't know it was shot in Spain. Thank you for sharing! 😄
